My first year doing Fun-A-Day, which is a project where you get to work on your art all during the month of January. I was learning the basics of recording and audio engineering at the time, and it shows with these rough mixes, but it was a great place to start.

I also foolishly chose to write '31 ideas in 31 days' which is a great way to lose all sense of other responsibilities and things you care about (such as your relationship and friendships!) in your life, but I can't argue that it wasn't rewarding nonetheless.

I used free software to prove a point that 'anyone could do this if they wanted.' Tools included MT-Power Drumkit, Ignite Amp VSTs, Synth1, and YM2612 among others. After this month was over, I ended up buying a copy of Reaper, as I loved using the free trial for this time period, and it's one of the best DAWs ever.
